Hi everyone, my name is Jamie and I'm new to this site. I am currently 14 and I love LOTR and I'm well underway to learning Quenya. This site is awesome and its really helped me boost my skills and chat to people who understand me.
Don't you just think Sam is awesome?

Sorry for the late welcome, our site has been down for a few days right after your introductions were made. But everything is up and running now so enjoy the forums, our Elvish lessons and all the other good stuff we've got spread all over the site!

Well, hello everyone. I found this site a while ago... I've just decided to start learning Sindarin. I love LOTR, ever since I read the books. This site has filled some info voids I got from the author and the characters and has really revived my love for learning more.See you around!

Hi everyone, I found the site through Google, read through a few forum posts and it seemed like a wonderful community to become a part of. I've actually had an interest in constructed languages for many years now and have had a desire to learn elvish for quite a while. So here I am. A bit about me outside of the computer; I'm nearly 20 years old, engaged to a man who shares my enthusiasm with all things LOTR/Hobbit related. I look forward to meeting you all and getting a jump on learning elvish (have not decided which type of elvish I want to learn yet so suggestions and comments on each would be much appreciated!)

Hey all. I found this site looking for a way to learn elvish. I've decided I want to learn Quenya and have started on the first few lessons. I was so happy to find a place where other people besides me were REALLY into LOTR. It gets kind of lonely when you're the only one in your school (even if your entire family is obsessed as well). About me? I'm a teenager, love music, the outdoors and reading.
I am not obsessed. I am compulsively awesome.

Hello everyone, I'm Sienna! I'm 18 and I found this site while on a journey through the internet to learn Elvish. Now that I know there are several types, I'm going to try to start learning Quenya and then hopefully move on to Sindarin

I've never been part of a little internet community like this so this is a pretty new experience. I already talked to one girl though and she was really nice! I'm hoping I can meet some cool people and learn some new stuff!

Hi! I am an 18 year old, going on 19, female from Cameroon and I love the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies. I have unfortunately gotten around reading the books yet, something I plan on rectifying soon. I found this site when I was looking for Sindarin names and such. Now I'm really interested in just learning the languages though. I like reading and watching movies. I have tis big thing for languages as well and adore music, mostly classical. I am kind of a new fan, I saw the LOTR movies quite some time ago but didn't really get a passion for it like now after seeing the second Hobbit movie. That's when I started looking for anything related and why I want to start reading the books.

By the way, I looooooovveee the Very Secret Diaries, almost cried myself to death!

No need to worry sieraye, everyone has to take their first steps on the internet once. No better place to do it then here! We have a big and friendly community, you'll be able to meet a lot of nice people. Good luck with the Elvish lessons!
They were written a while ago, Kizume16, but indeed, they still stay so funny ! Many other good laughs in the Humor Section, go check it out .

Hello Azuriel. Welcome to the Council of Elrond. Perhaps you could tell us a little bit more about yourself? Just saying you're new is kind of obvious . For some ideas, check out the first post of this thread. It would also be a good idea to check out the newbie guide, to help you get around quickly on the site.

Hello and welcome reina82. There are no audio recordings on our site of Elvish. But for more help about learning Elvish, you should check out the Elvish forum and post any questions you might have about it there.

My name is Alwine (you can also call me Alwi ^^) I'm 21, going on 22 in march. I'm from Quebec, Canada (and yess I speak french)
I'm a big fan of Lord of the Ring. I'm glad to have found this site, really, it's just... awesome :3
Hem, yeah I've been in Tolkien's since I'm young. My father used to read the hobbit and lord of the ring to me and my little brother before we go to bed. (I will definitely have to read them again since they're very far away in me memorie though... haha but I have seen the movies many, many times!)
I'm an harpist and signer and I can't wait to write song in sindarin :3
Hobbies: reading, drawing, LARP (I have actually a group of elves inspired by the elves of Imladris), RP, etc...
I love to create new original character (and I can't resist to creat a character each time I see a new movie, serie or read a new book)

I'm a bit shy but I really like to make new friends so don't be affaid to talk with me

(hope my writing is not to bad ^^' haha)
