Name: Nelsdorter
Age: older than Bilbo and Frodo when they set out on their respective Quests, and I'll leave it at that!
Gender: Female
Where are you from: I'm from the Uk - from that part of the English midlands which was the inspiration of the Shire, in fact - but now I live and work in Italy.
How did you find CoE? I was searching for some information about Mabel Suffield, and this site came up in the search.
What are your hobbies and interests? I enjoy reading (apart from Tolkien, I mostly read books written in or about the 19th century). I am a member of the William Morris Society. I enjoy exploring my adopted city of Venice. Like Tolkien and hobbits, I love real ale.
Have you read the 'Lord of the Rings' & 'The Hobbit' and/or seen the movies? I first read The Hobbit when I was eleven years old, and moved immediately to The Lord of the Rings, which I now estimate that I've read 40 or more times, and still learning something new every time.
I was a very sad and confused little girl aged eleven: my father had recently died, and the books helped me to find my way. I owe them a lot. As an adult, I decided to live my life as if The Lord of the Rings were true, and it has never let me down.
I have never seen the films and don't intend to: my personal Middle-Earth is in my head.
Do you have any questions about finding your way around CoE? Not so far, but if I do I'll most definitely ask!

Hi everyone!
My name is Estelwen Ethiriel, but you can just shorten it if you want!
Age: I am 14, turning 15 on August 31st this year!
Gender: Female.
Where I'm from: The UK.
How I found this wonderful website (CoE): I was looking for information about the poems and songs in Tolkien's books and in the films and... ta da!
My hobbies and interests: Well, I love reading! Especially Tolkien's world... But apart from when my nose is stuck in a book, I like to draw, cook (especially baking!) and play the piano, violin and guitar. I like listening to music, such as classical music. But I think the best musical genre is LOTR music (and The Hobbit, and anything else to do with Tolkien's world). It is simply beautiful, and thanks to the films I have been introduced to Enya Brennan ('May it Be', 'Aniron'), Annie Lennox ('Into the West'), Neil Finn ('Song of the Lonely Mountain'), Ed Sheeran ('I See Fire'), many other great singers! I also love the instrumental pieces in the movies, they perfectly compliment Tolkien's works. Peter Jackson and Howard Shore are just amazing, and so are all of the cast, behind-the-scenes people, etc. Talent shines from them!
I have read 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit',and after rereading them again I shall hopefully read 'The Silmarillion' and other books on 'The History of Middle-Earth'. I have also seen the movies, and I can't wait until 'The Hobbit: There and Back Again' is released! I wonder what secrets it hides, and what new music, songs, and events await!
This website is great! I feel that it has a lot in it for people to express their undying love for Tolkien's world, and I can't wait to start learning Quenya/Sindarin...
Namárië...

Welcome Estelwen Ethiriel! It sounds like you have found the perfect place to indulge in your interests!

Hello My Name is Lithiel Everlast- but I prefer to go by Lithiel. Or Lith if that's too long for you.

I'm a 27 year old - barely half grown in elvish years I know!

I live in canada, near Vancouver - the place that Never stops raining!XD

I found CoE when I was looking up which forums sites would be reliable for decent quality of roleplaying and art- this was the first hit, and in truth it looked familair. I remember looking it over 6 years ago but I was in highschool at the time. Ever since that day I wanted to follow up on that search.

I'm a student pursuing my Masters with a focus in the philosophy of Animated Narratives.
It would be a lie if I did not quote the LOTR series as a heavy influence for my interests and career choices that brought me there.
I read the books a long time ago as a child, and my father re-read them aloud for us again- I continued to read all sorts of collections of side stories and encyclopedias on the universe since then.

Naturally I was thrilled when the Movies started to be made and I'm eagerly awaiting the final movie of the Hobbit, with childish hope of a distant adaptation of the Silmarillion created some 30 years from now-... with virtual Reality interface for total audience immersion. XD

...until then. I have roleplay.

The only question I can think of asking is- who would be interesting in roleplaying with me? I'm not actually a newbie in terms of methodology or practice, but broaching a new character- or a remade one in my case, is never easy and I'd love to see what people think of my style and character. With grammer issues and some spelling errors my descriptive style can be lossed in translation, but I always try my best to compensate with depth and conent for peoples reading pleasure. I hope all the years of experiance have served me well.

I admit the many members and volumes of activity in this site makes me a little intimidated. But I guess that should make this exciting.
As I am an animator I like to sketch out what happens in stories, illustrations always good fuel for my work so expect gallery submission the more time I get to talk with people, please feel free to pm me, I love to make new friends.

Mae govannen Estelwen Ethiriel! Welcome to CoE & hope you enjoy it here!
I found Unfinished Tales a good read that compliments Lord of the Rings. Some good background there.

Hello and welcome Estelwen Ethiriel and Lithiel Everlast. Glad to have you on board. Thanks for such lengthy introductions!

Estelwen Ethiriel, I concur, the music of the movies is the best ever written. Although I'm having a little more trouble with the title songs of the Hobbit movies, compared to the ones from LotR...

No need to be intimidated Lithiel . We have a big community but with very friendly people, and not all are as active as others. Consider them like Fangorn, filled with lots of trees but many are drowsy or asleep . For fan fiction you best check out our fan fic section and forum. Hello there! ^^

Name: I like Elarinya, but you can call me "El" (both real and fictitional nickname).
Age: 26.
Gender: Female.
Where are you from? Brazil (But my heart lies in the north hemisphere).
How did you find CoE? I've known about CoE since the first trilogy came out. I was looking for things "Tolkien" in general and found this one. The language's course made me fall in love. *.*
What are your hobbies and interests? I love reading, writting, watching movies/shows/anime and listening to music (specially OSTs). Sounds quite generic, but that's really what I like to do.
Have you read the 'Lord of the Rings' & 'The Hobbit' and/or seen the movies? I have seen all the movies (I still cry and get goosebumps watching them), and read Lord of the Rings trilogy and The hobbit. Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales as well. Planning to reread them all 'cause they are so awesome. *.* Tolkien is a genius.
Do you have any questions about finding your way around CoE? Not right now.

Just wanted to say hello to you all. ^^

Post Introducing myself
on: January 08, 2014 05:29
Name: Please just call me Nessa, I would rather not disclose my real name.
Gender: Female
Where are you from (country/state)? I am from Australia, but I would much rather live in Middle Earth as it has beautiful views and cities and yet holds the most exciting adventures.
How did you find CoE? I was searching for a website that could teach me elvish, or some such thing, and I stumbled upon this very lovely website. I am so glad I could find CoE, it's quite exciting to find a community that shares my interest in LotR.
What are your hobbies and interests? Lord of the Rings (Obviously!), reading, music, gaming (PC and Xbox), being around friends, cooking (Baking especially!), chatting and generally living life happily.
Have you read the 'Lord of the Rings' & 'The Hobbit' and/or seen the movies? I recall a distant memory of reading The Hobbit, but I don't remember the details. I have seen all three LotR Movies and The first Hobbit (Although I found it not as interesting as the 3 LotR movies). I hope to read the Lord of the Rings trilogy someday, maybe when I am not so busy and it is a nice day to curl up and have a read.
I am here to learn more about The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and hopefully learn some Elvish words. I seek knowledge and understanding of Middle Earth, but I want to avoid power, as I know how easily it corrupts. This is a wonderful website and I am very glad it exists!

Hello! I am mrgflan, 14 years old and native of the USA. I came to this site after developing an interest in learning to speak Quenya. I was first introduced to the LoTR series when my dad showed me the first movie. Afterwards I watched the rest, and then developed an interest in the books. This was all about when I was 9 or 10 years old. I hope to enjoy this site, and learn more about Tolkien's universe. Farewell!
