Hi! *waves* Welcome! If you want to have a chat with someone, I'm sure anyone will be happy to oblige... then there's me of course... but I'm one of the slightly less sane people here
If anyone had happened to look out of a window on the east side of the palace, they might have noticed two figures in the darkness, dancing in a square bordered by living plants, out of time with the dancers inside but perfectly in time with each other.

Rainaqueen82, perhaps you could tell our members a little bit more about yourself. That way they can get to know you better, which makes it easier to make friends and chat . If you need inspiration, you can look at the first post of this thread.

If anyone had happened to look out of a window on the east side of the palace, they might have noticed two figures in the darkness, dancing in a square bordered by living plants, out of time with the dancers inside but perfectly in time with each other.

More about me: I am 14. I have seen both The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings (all three!). My favourite character: either Boromir or Aragorn.

Hello all, I'm kinda a noob to Tolkien's works, I've loved them since I was little, read all the books I can, watched the movies, but never really delved deeper until now. An interesting sidenote; I'm a student of Thelema and Hegelianism. I'm interested in learning the languages, and the mythology in general, of middle earth, and i'm totally open to making new friends, so feel free to pm me whenever! Hello everyone, I'm Kat! I used to be a member years ago, before the site changed, and somehow never got around to restarting my old account. I am a huge fan of LotR *bouncing up and down on my seat for the next Hobbit movie*, and have dabbled in both Elvish and RPGing, so I'm hoping to get back in with those soon.

Psshhh, what? The Hobbit movies having a thing or two to do with it? Nawww. (In all actuality though, it was probably mostly that I am currently working on a literary analysis paper on the Akallabeth, and as such have found myself grossly involved with everything Tolkien--more so than usual, that is--and so when the newsletter came out today, I was in the mood to reconnect. Of course, the Hobbit movie coming out next month probably had some influence as well...)

I feel as if I could use a re-introduction, asI have been here for nearly a year, and the original Newbies thread I posted hello on was sent into the archives the day after I joined:


I am Maxie. I am nearly 16 now. Joy! I am from the realm of New York, where we shall soon be wading through the snow. I love writing and am attatched by the hip to my violin. I am a sophomore in high school, I love Kili,Faramir, and Ori, and have a fondness towards Thorin and Fili. I read the books much before the movies, becasue I was nine or ten when I first read them. Hmm, what else... oh, I have a fanfiction or two on here,I love being in the woods, I speak fluent French, and I first came here to learn Sindarin, but I never have yet.
We were one in the same, running like moths to the flame. You'd hang on every word I'd say, but now they only ricochet.

Greetings! I am Phantom. I have an obsession for the mythical medieval times and a new fan of Tolkien. I was just fascinated by Lord of the rings when I was little and I've just recently watched it again and I couldn't stop thinking about it! I was searching up how to learn elvish languages when I bumped into this form and I just can't wait! I look forward being here and discovering more things along the way.
