I have typed my chats sometimes 3 times over and it still does not show up. It seems to be working fine today. I hope this not continue to be a problem and if it is, who in the administration would I contact about a technical matter?

Is anyone having trouble with the UserOnline box on the left? Mine does not show anyone online here. When I point to it, it turns into a line, not a little hand. It has been like this for several days. Thanx.

Anyone else getting this weird glitch? I was talking to someone in chat and it also sent my messages to someone else. Very confusing!

Oh, that is not good. Are you talking about being in a group chatroom or a private chat? How do you know someone else got your chats? Were you
chatting with more than one person at a time? Seems like there are some issues with chat lately.

I was talking to someone privately, then someone else came up and started talking to me thinking I had sent them a message or something.

I think that is a serious problem. So far no one has replied to any of these issues that have been posted. I have noticed this forum has no moderator. Who do we turn to for help with this? Maybe go straight to the top and send a pm to Rivka and she can take it from there.

That is happening to me too, starofdunedain! Only it re-sends other messages I have already to the person I am already chatting with. And it also re-sends things that my brother and sister have said, and it sends it to the person I'm chatting with like I said it! That probably doesn't make any sense.....

And it also won't load my siggy so I can edit it. Does anyone know what's going on?

Just adding some forum problems. I'm sure some have been mentioned before:

* No (editable) signature
* 'Mark all read' not working
* 'Show new topics since your last visit' not working properly
* Newest posts in a thread not shown on the home page

About the last point: It seems only the newest posts of the sticky thread are shown.

I understand people running this site are busy with real life (as am I!). I just wanted to note this and hopefully someone will look at it sometime in the future.

Yeah, I've noticed a couple of those as well. Mainly the signature thing. Those who have a siggy can't edit it or make it shorter, and those who don't have one can't make one. When I went to make a siggy, I clicked on the "Edit your forum option" at the top of the forum page, the site loads but the page is literally blank. There's the forum heading, but nothing else. I'm sure some people are aware of this, and I hope I'm not being annoying. I just wanted to bring it up in the right forum

Yeah, I've been getting that problem too! And when I log out on that page, a thing comes up and says "cheating, are we?"

It's mega weird...

We'll be releasing a new version of the forum in a week or so, so a lot of the problems you're seeing should be resolved by then. Thanks for your patience.

The site isn't working for me now. The "cheating are we?" thing still comes up, whenever I use the heading things on the side it appears BEHIND the content. My computer says parts of this site aren't safe because of some running scripts, the fanfiction thing, where you click on a new chapter and it comes up with another still happens (although that could be my mothers computer). The pictures for chat won't come up either.
Like it was said before, everyone has something happening in their life and these don't need to be corrected immediately.
(The signature thing is getting really annoying though but that's just cause my friend thought to put this would be cool!)

Just tried to update my realm's newspage(realm of Nessa), and when I'd try to submit it, it would take me directly back to the edit realm page, but ALL the information in all the textfields were blank. My newspage is still there, but the new text I had added isn't. Did this several times before I gave up on updating the page. Not an imperative fix, but thought I'd let you know.

I'm having chat problems. The site re-sends my IMs. And when my bother and sister were on here, it would send their messages to the person I was chatting with. And (as far as I know) this only happens to me. (And my bother and sister, but they don't get on much any more). Just so y'all know. But it doesn't really matter that much.

I can't view my profile from the forums. It comes up with this 'index of members' and it's got loads of links to it. I clicked on one, the first name under 'parent directory' (whatever that means) and it came up with a weird link. It said it was councilofelrond but I'm not sure. When I hovvered over it it had a councilofelrond URL.
I don't know if this is my computer but thats really hard to believe so I'm assuming it's a weird glitch. If this can be fixed ASAP that would be awesome

Larien, it's not your computer.

Some functions in the new forum aren't working just yet, and the Member/Profiles section is one of those. There are others mentioned here in this Please Post Forum Issues thread.

Actually, clicking one of those names on that list you came across will bring up their CoE Website, a section we used to have on the site.

That exlains a lot... I tied to go to my profile from another place (I clicked my actual name) and it came up with a cut-out thing of Aragorn with someone standing beside it
