Sometimes, even when you tick the box that says 'upload this as my avatar' when you are uploading an avatar, it won't upload properly. SO, the best thing to do, I found, is when you are uploading an avatar, then in the 'description' box where you have to choose a few words to describe it, choose ones that are unique and you can remember (maybe like 'Ilfa') then do a search for your avatar, and then once you've found it, you can load it then. It worked for me. I hope I made some sense!

I have been trying to post in an RP thread ("Into the West - and Back Again") , and I click "submit" and it takes a while to load, and it ends with a blank white page, when the task bar says "done". I would've thought it was the computer, but this has happened repeatedly. (Fortunately, a friend here on CoE is going to post for me. )

Our mail server was down earlier, but it should be fixed now.

This isn’t so much not working, but more like missing a part;

In the timeline section, a large part of the Third Age is missing. It ends with the year 2953, halfway a phrase.

Hi Rivka.

I'll PM this to you to. All of a sudden, the CoE main vertical menu at the left side of the screen stopped working in Firefox. I can still log in, but can't get to any of the features that are not in the horizontal menu. Do you have any idea what I might be doing wrong, or who else to ask?

Sorry for bothering you. Thanks much.

I'm not sure where to post this, so please forgive me if this is the wrong place, but, the other day when I checked my post count, I had 1300 and something posts, but when I just checked it, I only had 1057. Does anyone else experience this?

Possibly due to threads being deleted that you've posted in, LotrLuva.

Yes, I am responsible for your lower post count. Because the Games Forum is so big, I have to close the bigger threads and start a new, continuing one. Eventually these closed threads get deleted by me, therefore your post count will go down.

It's happened to me too. After getting to LotR Hangman Part 6 etc., people who frequent the games forum will get their post count down regularly, I think.

Today I got on CoE and the top banner, or whatever you want to call it, wasn't there. It's always worked before. I have the Eowyn theme. Is this just an AOL quirk or is it because of the new server?

Also, I've tried to send e-cards several times and the timing is messed up. When I delay the sending, it is never received at all, but when I want to send it immediately, it gets there several days later.

Thank you so much!

I've noticed that a lot of pics in people's sigs aren't working. I don't know if this is because of the server move or something else, but i thought i'd mention it.

The Éowyn theme is fine in Internet Explorer, so it's probably a problem specific to AOL and Firefox...

I wouldn't go that far. I have IE and the banner for the Eowyn theme isn't showing up on my computer either. There were also script pictures missing from the One Ring theme on the main page.

Just so you know, I have version 6.0 Microsoft Internet Explorer, updated version SP2 and the banner at the top of the Eowyn theme doesn't show up either...

Thank you for the awesome move, Len!!!

I just noticed something else... I tried updating my member site just now and it isn't updating. I don't know if anyone else is having problems with it but I tried Firefox just to see if it was a web server issue, but I still had the problem.

Thanks for pointing all these out, folks. They should be fixed in the next day or two -- Len has a handful of things to do that should fix them all.

Please keep any problems coming

How does one read the comments on the news articles on the Home Page? For example, I wanted to read them on "Once a Hobbit, Always a Hobbit," but when I clicked on "comments" I couldn't find them. ???

They should be located under the news item... Maybe it's a temporary browser-mistake-thingy? I can read the comments on that article with Internet Explorer 6...

Linwe - This is probably a really stupid question, but were you logged in? I once spent a few minutes trying to access the comments before I realized one has to be logged in to do that.

Yes, I was logged in and I've tried getting the comments several times. I use AOL.

When I click on "comments" I get a page with the article title and next to it "21 comments". Underneath that it says "comments are owned by the poster, etc"....and that's it...just a blank space. I know I've been able to access them before. :twitch:

I don't know if it's the site or my computer, but whenever I try to get around CoE, it's incredibly slow. I'll wait for ten minutes and nothing happens. :twitch: This has been going on for the past few days.
The thing is, when I visit other websites, I'm able to get around fine.

Ok, I'm just editing this becuase I don't want to double post, but I can't sign out! I have no idea why.
