Hello Startrekzombie, and welcome. Perhaps you can tell our members a little bit more about yourself? Just saying hi doesn't really tell us much, and this is an introduction-thread after all . If you need some inspiration, you can have a look at the first post of this thread . Or at some of the lengthier introductions of other newbies. You're free to provide whatever you like / not share any information you like. But the more our members can get to know you, the easier it is to chat and make friends!

Ok. Well, i can't spell, i enjoy playing magic and dlnd, my favorite color is orange, i play video games all the timei love all rpg, i only have the talent ofdrawing, and i love going to nerd club because its the only place I.fit in

I'm Tommy, I'm absolutely obsessed with LOTR, The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, and the rest of Tolkien's works.

Just as a side note I personally prefer the LOTR books over the movies, but Peter Jackson did a phenomenal job, for his part.

If anyone had happened to look out of a window on the east side of the palace, they might have noticed two figures in the darkness, dancing in a square bordered by living plants, out of time with the dancers inside but perfectly in time with each other.

Hello I'm Gabriel. I started getting into LOTR recently after I saw the extended movies and finally finished the last book. I don't have much else to say other than I found CoE by looking for a good method of learning one of Tolkien's languages. This was by far the best choice.

Mae govannen! My name is Lucy. I'm 19 and live in the USA. I've been a fan of Tolkien ever since my father used to read the Lord of the Rings to my sister and I by the fire in the evenings. I've read The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit several times, (as well as seen the movies,) but have more recently explored other works of Tolkien's such as Smith of Wooten Major and Farmer Giles of Ham. I just finished reading the Silmarillion, after which I became possessed of a desire to finally learn Sindarin more fully, bringing me to this excellent site. Some of my hobbies include classical music (I play the harp) and spending time outdoors, usually just wandering through the woods. I hope to find other Elven enthusiasts here and look forward to being part of this community.

Hi not really new here but newly signed up if thats what you mean, discovered this place a while ago just never signed up. Great sight, was wonderful for learning Quenya although i would ask a moderator to check their Tengwar links. I may be wrong but last time i checked some were a bit buggy.
PS: Quenya>Sindarin

What are your hobbies and interests?: I am getting a degree in Cinema/TV with a minor in 3D Animation. I hope one day to use my skills to be a film editor. I enjoy watching movies and tv shows, playing card/board games, exploring, reading comics, and just living life to its fullest.
Have you read the 'Lord of the Rings' & 'The Hobbit' and/or seen the movies?: I've read 'The Hobbit' multiple times and have seen both the first and second movie multiple times. I LOVE THE HOBBIT. I have seen all the Lord of the Rings movies but have not read the books. They are on my list!

No need to ask for any forgiveness, Negin. I don't know how many members here are from Iran or were born there, but I would bet that no one else here knows Farsi (I certainly do not!)
