Ok, after some thought, I wrote things that were perhaps a little too specific. So, I edited...It was bugging me. Sorry. (Jeeze...I need to learn to sleep...)

Yay! Well Paldor and Ilmare are now officially reunited! Wahooo! I have to say, though, I'm a little stuck on exactly how much Paldor should remember about the past? I figure that at the moment, he remembers Ilmare, but not the details of what happened or how they got separated. Perhaps they can work together to piece together some details? What do you guys think?
I also had another thought, please let me know your feelings on this one: What if Ilmare somehow has the idea that Galcora might still be alive and we were to set off to try to rediscover the past, and hunt for her?
Advice and feedback would be much appreciated at this point, cuz I'm a little stymied about where to go from here! Thanks, guys!
Also, FYI, I'm going out of town for the next week so my next post probably won't be till Sunday.
Cheers to you all!

Sounds alright to me. If the others agree then go ahead.
Sorry about not posting for a while, I'm currently feeling very uncreative and my writing feels forced. I'll try and post as soon as possible.

*happy dance* Hurrah! Well, I'm pleased with the reunite bit.

*considers* Maybe they should somehow meet up w/ Tirgoth (Ilmare and Paldor, that is), piece together what happened and then go out. I notice that Harrison has been noticeably absent (*pokes Harrison experimentantly*).

Harrison is going to be gone for about another two weeks. Some sort of camp or vacation or something. So we can take it slow until he comes back I guess.

okey dokey so Paldor and Ilmare are reunited. We can slowly set off on our quest for Galcora. And go from there!

Hey everyone, when you have a spare moment (in our hectic worlds? lol...) go to the Song Dedication Booth in the main Roleplaying area, particularly you, Cathy. I put something...rather special in there. But I'm not saying what, specifically. Go and see!

Hello everybody, especially Tiana and Cathy...

Sorry my posting has been a little slow recently, I have been very busy since my trip.

Are you two done with your conversation?(for now at least?)

I am ready to enter at any moment...my character stands frozen in time...somewhere near the fountain...

Whenever you're ready I'll find a way to get into it.

That is a nice song Tiana.

Aaaw, Monica, we need to put up a post in the middle earth advertiser..

"Romantic interest needed for Elf woman who cut her ears."

Seriously though, I think our thread could handle six...

OOOH! Wouldn't it be cool if you guys had met in the part we didn't do, after we rescue Paldor!!

Then you could do it all backward, in recollections and talking to each other, and figure out what happened in the past....tell me what you think about getting another characterto be a partner for Zie.

I am certainly happy to leave it at five; by bringing in another person we risk that they won't be as dedicated as you four have shown yourselves to be.

It's just an idea, tell me what you think.

Hey you guys, don't worry about bringing another person/character for me. I saw the blossoming possibilites of romance between your characters when I started this so I know what I was getting into. If nothing else, I can always write up a new character for her, but then I'd be RPing by myself and that's not fun either.

With her hidden, unclaimed and unadmitted to elvish background I may just leave it as it is with Zie being alone.

By the way...is anyone gonna post or what?

Hey, welcome back Cathy!! Elrin? U there? As she has not replied in a long time, we will probably have to try and move on without her. The main problem is how to meet up with Zie. It would be a little contrived to have her show up in the courtyard, but it could be done.

I'm here...already posted...sorry...I'll try and post every few days. Hope Leigh's still in.

Oh and Leighlia, you don't mind me calling you Leigh do you? Some people actually don't always like it when people don't use the full name, just wondering you know...don't want to offend. And none of you others mind do you? Sorry, it just suddenly struck me that people might not like it. Yeah sorry it is off-topic, just making sure I'm not offending anybody...

*happy giggle* We're all here again! Hurrah! We can go on with our trip and plans!!!

And re your question, Elrin, I don't care if you call me Tiana, T or Vana. Actually, if you're going to call me by my sn, I prefer Vana...much less formal. I used to care, but two years of being called Vana...kinda grows on you after a while.

Whoopee!

This is GREAT...i really thought for a while there that we weren't going to be able to keep this thread moving.

In the future (I hate to seem like a slavemaster but here goes) I don't mind if you are gone for a while, but if there is any way of getting some notice to us beforehand, that would save us all a heart attack.

Example: I will probably not be able to post from now until monday. Not a big deal, just giving u guys the heads up.

But overall, barely surpressed glee is the emotion i'm feeling right now. NOTHING AT ALL has gone right this week, I am really a mess, but I am glad that this thread looks hopeful. something, at least, to be a little happy about.

Ok well for the next few weeks I will be slow to post, I am far behind in my school art project so I will be concentrating on that for a while. I will try and check in as much as possible. I want to keep the thread moving...

Is anybody going to post still or are we just going to let the thread go. I mean we just don't seem to be moving on in the thread at all any more.

(Don't mind my double post, there is about 2 weeks between each)

That is true Elrin.

All right, lets get it out. If this thread dies, I don't want it to be because the posts trickled to a stop.

How many of you would rather let our thread end as it is.

Personally, I will continue to post as long as there is still interest. But right now there seems to be a lack of interest.

So just go ahead and say it. Are you still commited to continuing this thread?

Ok guys...it seems that we have all come back together successfully. I think now would be a good time to clear things up about what exactly happened 7 years ago. Once we have that in our heads, we can start understanding our characters' motivations in our upcoming adventure.

I think that even though some of us have "refound" our memories, there still needs to be a black hole somewhere. What our characters can't know has to be
A) Why we lost our memories.
B) IF we stumbled on something important, what was it?

For now, lets leave those questoins to rest, and think about what it is that motivates them to start questing together again. What are they going to do? Monica, I'm sort of confused about timelines...if it turns out that they lost their memories around the time of the premature death of Aragorn and crowning of the "pretender king," and also at the time when the "troubles" started; (more crime, strange stuff with orcs) then maybe they could start putting two and two together...from there it will just roll if we let it. But I'm mostly worried if this still fits with what we were talking about earlier. Any ideas?

Sorry it took me so long to get back. Help me celebrate my finding out out that I'm gonna have a second child. Yippee! But lots of morning sickness. Needless to say, next August is going to mean very little posting time for me, but that is a long time away. I'll get to this OOC as soon as I can. I need to do some reviewing and rethinking.

I'm a bit late but congrats on your second, Leighlia. Also I hope all have had a wonderful Christmas and enjoy the new year.

Anyway, I posted. It is a bit long and I had to cut off quite a bit, but oh well.

This might sound a bit random, but do any of you rp at monkeygames.net? Just asking for curiosity's sake.

Very nice post Elrin. Happy new year to you too.

Should we skip to the next day or so out at the rock, or is more resolving of the situation with Galcora's dad necessary?

Ok, sorry I haven't posted here in a while. Some items of business to take care of.

First off, Happy Birthday Monica, and I'm so thrilled for your little girl!

Second, just so everyone knows, my eighteenth b-day was on the 22nd. I would have been here, but I've been doing clinicals and running a thousand miles an hour.

Third, and this gets back to the actual thread, part of me rebels at Aragorn actually dying (and Arwen). I'm a purist; sue me. You wouldn't get much, but you could try. Maybe we could work it that a body-guard look-alike died, like what happened in Star Wars II? I dunno, something. Maybe we're able to bring the rightful king back (again. The Return of the Returned King?) and that's the end of the story. Of course, it'll be a long time getting there, but that's the fun, right? Aragorn is just one of my favorite characters, and having him die 14 or so years after WotR just rubs me wrong. Smack me if I'm completely off-track.

Hey all, sorry I have been absent for a while. This thread has always remained a concern in the back of my mind, though.

First thing: Leighlia, if you are still there waiting *crosses fingers* for it to be a distance-accurate time for you to pop back in, please feel free to come back whenever. We could use a little juice. In the mean time, I'm trying to cook up some plot twists. you guys do the same. I guess for now we'll just plow ahead with whatever we can do, and if we can liven things up a little, so much the better! I do hope that if things start rolling, Elrin and Leighlia will eventually find thier way back.

I hope to post, if not tonight or tomorrow, at least this weekend.

As for the Aragorn thing...hmm...sweet/interesting. I would love to have that in the thread. I'm not sure if you're allowed to about-face things from the book in TR...but it should be ok. You could make a case that there's reasonable doubt.

Mods, any advice?

(Thanks everyone, and Happy B-day to Vana.

I've been toying with a thought for months now that is similar to yours.....what if when we find the bad guy and end this evil take over plot we find that it is possible to reverse all his evil deeds and sort of....erase it. As we did a play on time thing already by loosing 7 years, why not re-do them. Of course, our characters wouldn't be able to go backwards and re play those years, but everyone everywhere else would have diffrent memories of those 7 years as ones of peace instead ones of turmoil. Might even be interesting to have somethings have happened in our characters lives that they don't remember having happened during those "lost" years. Ilmare and Paldore returning home to find that their children missed their parents, but enjoyed their stay at grandpa's.....or something like that. Thinking/typing out loud here so to speak. Heck, Zie might find that she never really returned home afterall....possibilities are endless really. This is just a thought. I think both would work well.

Hey...here's another. I had planted the seed that Faramir had taken his family into hiding....Why couldn't Aragorn? I'm liking that idea. Everyone put in their 2 cents, I'm open either way.

That erasing idea is an intriguing one. And I'm also very tempted by the lost Aragorn thing. Ive seen teh erasing odne once before actually, in a book...there had just been massive civil war, and the winner erased the whole country's memory...as you can imagine, chaos ensued.

But anyway, I think that is something to consider when we get closer to the end of the current tasks we have laid out for ourselves. I like the Aragorn in hiding thing...OOH! what if he was in hiding in one of the villages? And that was the original reason the orcs were scouring all the hamlets and taking away people? That would be great...and now, because of that danger, he's been forced to somewhere even more remote....all this we discover as we wreak havoc on the baddies. Thus setting up the next adventure into the unknown.

You guys have great ideas!! What do you think?

I've seen the erasing thing done in a book once too. A dictator had taken over before the erasing bit, and afterwards he was just a neat guy who came into power. The only ones who remembered when he was a dictator were the boy and girl who were instrumental in the erasing. Maybe, as Lei suggested, they all return with memories of everything that occurred before the erasing, but no one else remembers.

I like the turn the Aragorn-in-hiding bit just took. That'd tie in the original plot and the new one and give us something to work towards. A question, though: how would our brave heroes (and heroines) find out that Aragorn and his family were really alive? And why would Estel and Undomiel leave their son in Minas Tirith? To give credence to the lie that they died?

hmm...good questions vana.

For the first one; as the adventurers come closer to the baddies, and to some sort of eventual success, there will be some contact with yrch, etc. So we could find out abuot Aragorn from the enemy, somehow; either by coercion or spying...or luck?

The second question is more difficult. I guess if they were hoping to keep a foothold in the palace for when they planned to return...Or maybe they thought the danger was to them personally, so they left everything in charge of the steward with the charge to bring up the kid to be the next king. And the only reason they had to go into hiding was personal danger...

Which brings up the question...(and i'm ashamed not to have asked myself this sooner)...WHY is Aragorn in hiding?

More immediately..who's going to wake up first?
