I would like to know if we are doing an RP on Sunday?

If we are I won't be there. I will be on a bus back to Canada. Yes my visit with Kass has ended this weekend.:cry:

I have had a great time and I hope to see her up at my place next. But a little longer.

So if there is one on Sunday May 29 then leave me a space. I also forgot it's Memorial Weekend for you all. So let me know.

I'm not sure what Memorial Weekend is, coming from the UK. *?*

Perhaps, we could all meet the following Sunday, 5 June. It's lovely being left spaces, but it's even better being there.

I won't be able to be there on Sunday the 29th either as well as the 5th of June. Jared will be home for that weekend plus with all the craziness going on during the week, it just won't work for me.

I haven't seen either of the MPs that we did...either last Sunday's or the previous one. Any idea of where they are? I guess I feel that those should be up and posted before we get going on another one. We're getting kind of behind in that department.

Rose, Memorial Day is a day that we here in the U.S. decorate the graves of loved ones. It started out as Decoration Day as my grandmother always called it where the graves of servicemen and women were decorated. It has expanded to include all of our loved ones. Tough one this year for me. Oh well, life goes on...oh blah dee, oh blah dah!

Hello, All!

I also will not be here on Sunday 29 May. I am going to be with my parents and siblings in Southern Maryland, celebrating Memorial Day with a cookout. Dad is a WWII veteran.

Speaking of Dads, Fathers Day is Sunday 19 June, and I do not plan to be RPing that day, either! Please save me a space to put something in!

How about June 12. That gives plenty of time to do edits on the combined RPs we have written. :love:

Hope you all have a good Memorial Day. We only have Remembrance Sunday, November 11, in the UK. Which is really a very sombre time, with church services and lots of poppy petals and poppy wreaths on public cenotaphs and memorials. So I suppose it is pretty similar, but perhaps less personal.

:disco: :cheers: Happy almost first anniversary, Returning Home: The Journey! That time has sure flown by.

As for me, the 12th works peachily. I'm in-between workshops and will be needing something to take my mind off of school.

Today is my "work-on-my-hideous-kitchen-so-it's-not-so-hideous" day. I'll have many of these this summer and next. That's probably how long it will take to get it back into shape. Game plan, this summer paint the cabinets, walls, and woodwork; next summer: replace the countertops, sink, window, and flooring. Of course, if I'm out of a job by next year, that may have to wait. LOL

Hope to see you all on the 12th and the MP long before that to do edits.

Hi everybody!

The 12th sounds good to me at this point in time, and I don't know where the posts are either.

Found a new place to rent, and LOVE it!!!!:love::love:
It's a mile and a quarter west and one third mile north of where I am now. Spitting distance from the scholl where Brandy and I teach. Cute double wide, allows pets, in my price range, and soooooooo much better than the litlle "shit" shack by the lake that was also available. Brandy offered me a chance to rent her house in Hazleton, for which I am eternally grateful:love::love::love:, but this one works out much better for me.

Sooooo, I'm painting there, packing here, mowing both, wanting to be totally in there and out of here with this place totally cleaned by June 17th.
I have some very dear friends helping me, including Brandywine.:heart:

Got a 4-H camp the following week, and a class the week after that, and summer school July 11-August 4, I think.

Sorry I'm babbling so much about personal stuff on the OOC, but babbling is about all I'm capable of anywhere at the moment. :rolling:

I will try to keep an eye out for the posts, and as Brandy is waiting too, she will pull my chain when it comes our way.

June 12 may be iffy for me, but I will do my best to make it.

I must now confess that I am the one sitting on the RP's. I am just about ready to type up what I have been trying to write. I appologize to all of you for the hold up. I was on such an overload from the class and then I got sick and then Jane came. And life has just moved on by without me having taken to much notice of the RP's. I have been working on it this past week and all this weekend. I will make every effort to get it moving along in the next 24-48 hours.

I have been a little self-indulged and self-centered of late, thinking only of myself and my needs/wants/desires. Jane has seen it and can attest to my self centeredness. I am working out of this current funk and have really had some great enlightenment on my ideas for the story.

I have to be honest with you ladies and tell you that I have concidered dropping the JOURNEY and taking my character back to M.T. and continuing her story on my own. I can't do this! First, I made a commitment to THE JOURNEY and to our friendship. Second, my story of Siladan just doesn't jive without having you guys and your characters to reference in the story of Siladan and her future. Thirdly, I would miss each of you terribly!

I will give my every effort to getting myself back into the swing of things and become a better participant in our RP's. As for the 12th, I am hoping to be off in the woods camping. I can't got the following weekend and I missed the two weekends I had planned in May due to storms, illness and etc. It is very important for me to experience the "wilderness" alone a couple of times (at the least) each year. It is my time to recharge my internal batteries. Last year I didn't get one trip by myself because of the knee replacement. I only got the annual family camp trip which was great, but the effects have long since worn off. I am in desperate need of a recharge.

So, all of you please forgive me for my selfishness and I will be with you very soon.

I haven't posted anything for so long I hope I remember how. The 12th works for me. I don't think I have anything going that day. Busy summer lined out though.
Help Tanzy move, summer school from July 11 to Aug. 4 then fly back East to nephews wedding on Aug. 9-16. THen school starts. Somewhere in there I need to organize my husbands family reunion. He's busy with farming and I have spent some time helping him as well. Sat on the tractor from 1-8 pm yesterday disking a field.

Tanzy's new place is cute and way better than mine both in looks and in geographical location. Tanzy you can still get your oil changed anytime by Kelly though and we'll get you some burn barrels.

Ladies,

I have the post for 5/22/05. Before I add the edit I was planning, I would like to know what story line we are working on here! Do you intend to spend time at the Deep or are we planning to just have a look around and leave again.

No sense in my working up a good storyline if we are just going to drop it and go on.

Let me have some input, please. Either PM or during the RP tomorrow. I am not in the Wilderness and plan to be RPing with you tomorrow.

Hi, All!
Where would the RP be? I am leaving for Colorado *early* Saturday morning, and I'd like to get it edited and up before I leave. That way I'm not the one holding it up. I won't be at the RP on Sunday as we'll be doing the family bonding time up in the Colorado Rockies. I can hardly wait! I'll be home on Wednesday the 13th or Thursday the 14th.

If you're using the editing order I came up with, Sunday's order would be:
Scots56 (but you can leave me out of this one if you need to. It's not a big deal.)

I got it, Tanzy, and am working on it as we speak. Well, that's my next task for today.

The bus explosion in London happened in front of the hotel that we stayed at while in London, and that bus was the one that Jared took to work every day. He would have been on it at that time. Also, one of the subway explosions happened just about 3 blocks away from where he worked. Scary stuff. I truly don't understand the logic behind it. I struggle to, but it just is so senseless.

Hello Ladies,
I must report, at the last minute, that I may not be online Sunday July 10. Our son had an event to attend in Utah so we are short one irrigator. We are also invited to a dinner right after church (when we are online) for a friend's son who recently returned home after serving a mission. I'm pretty sure we will at least put in an appearance.

So, please don't wait for me. If I can get here I will move heaven and earth to do it. If it's not meant to be I won't be. However, I will do my best to get here if I can.

Hi everyone.

We didn't manage to get going with the RP on Sunday the 10th but it was thought that perhaps we could all do individual posts.

These could be about arriving in Helm's Deep, maybe looking around, meeting people, our impressions, perhaps culminating with everyone ending up in the Barracks Dining Hall.

It was suggested also, that Sunday 17 July could be our next meet. Erkenbrand was thinking about inviting our group to a dinner, so that could be the jump off point for the next RP session.

Hope that's ok with everyone.
