I was very disappointed with this scene, even on the EE. The Uruks and Orcs, their quarrels, their habbits, their loyalties… they were portrayed beautifully in Tolkien’s book, and they were sadly neglected in the movie adaptation.
What I did like, however, were the cockney accents. I heard some complaints about that, but I think it was rather close to the language Tolkien himself uses.

One of my favorite parts in the book is when the hobbits trick Grishnak into thinking they have the ring, saying they will tell him nothing unless they untie them, adding many a “Golloum!” into what they’re saying. *That* was brilliantly clever, and I was very dissapointed whent that wasn’t in the movie. And I am *not* amused with PJ’s food fettish, if you follow me…
I was appalled at how drastically they changed the orcs from the book. In the book, it wasn’t an acceptable trend to be a cannibal. Grishnakh turned the goblins from Moria on Ugluk by suggesting the Isengarders were cannibals, and Ugluk was furious at the idea.
So now Ugluk is going “Meat’s back on the menu!” after killing Snaga? *shakes head*
