Richard Claraval is an award winning artist whose work has been in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the Eastern U.S., including the Carnegie Museum of Art, The Bascom Center for the Visual Arts and the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. Among his honors Richard Claraval won a juror’s award at the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh’s Annual Exhibition at the Carnegie Museum of Art in 2010 and a juror’s award at a group exhibition at Panza Gallery. His work has been displayed in galleries and museums throughout the Eastern U.S., including the Carnegie Museum of Art, The Bascom Center for the Visual Arts and the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. In his career Mr. Claraval has explored several different media including sculpture and drawing, for which his awards were granted, along with painting, printmaking, photography and mixed medium. His work is in several private collections as well as that of the Westinghouse Corporation and the Pittsburgh Friends of Art. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in art from Indiana University of Pa. in 1977.
