Seven Dora awards for LotR

Mythopoeic Society awards
The winners of the 2005 Mythopoeic Society awards have been announced. Janet Brennan Croft received the Mythopoeic Scholarship Award in Inklings Studies for her book, War and the Works of J.R.R. Tolkien. There’s a list of all the winners at the society’s website here.

Shore’s score voted best ever
In a poll by listeners of the UK radio station Classic FM, Howard Shore’s score for the ‘Lord of the Rings’ films has been voted the best movie soundtrack ever. Second on the list of 50 soundtracks was ‘Gladiator’, which was followed by ‘Star Wars’.

Nebula Award for Jackson, Walsh and Boyens
