Howard Shore receives even more recognition
For his work on the Lord of the Rings soundtrack, The World Soundtrack Awards have nominated Howard Shore for two awards: Soundtrack Composer of the Year and Best Original Soundtrack of the Year – Orchestral.

At the 18th Annual Technical Excellence and Creativity Awards, Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring was presented with the award for Film Sound Production. Other nominees included Black Hawk Down, Moulin Rouge, and Pearl Harbor.
