Hugo Weaving and John Howe in the Battle for Middle-earth
Electronic Arts has announced that in their forthcoming game, The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II, Hugo Weaving will be providing the lead voice work and artist John Howe will also be creating new places and creatures for the game. There’s further information at EA Games.

A night with The One Ring
On 26th and 28th December the Indiana State Museum will be holding overnighters with trivia, contests and the IMAX theater will show FotR on the 26th and RotK on the 28th. Guests will then tour the LotR exhibition. There’s further information about this event here.

Lord of the Rings for Playstation Portable
This short article at Kotaku.com reports that the forthcoming Playstation Portable game, “Lord of the Rings: Tactics”, will be a 3D rpg. The game is due for release in November this year.

Lord of the Rings charity screening
On Thursday, August 18th, at the Presidio Theatre, San Francisco, there will be a charity screening of the LotR trilogy. The proceeds will go to CAN (Cure Autism Now). This event will include a raffle, door prizes, and a costume contest. There is further information about this event here.

LotR stars to appear at CauldronCon 2005
Lord of the Rings actors John Rhys-Davies and Sala Baker, along with Royd Tolkien (great-grandson of JRR Tolkien) will be appearing at CauldronCon from 12th to 14th August 2005. This convention will take place at the Sheraton Ferncroft Resort, Danvers, Massachusetts.

The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar
