UK top 100 movies
All three LotR movies are featured in Channel 4’s list of the UK cinema’s official top 100 movies. FotR is at number 16, RotK at number 19 and The Two Towers at number 22. You can view the full list at channel4.com. The listings were compiled using box office admissions not box office receipts.

First edition of The Hobbit sells for £6000
In 1937 only 1500 first editions of The Hobbit were published. EDP24 report that one of these first editions, complete with dustwrapper designed by Tolkien, was sold at auction today for £6000 ($11,359.23).
