    Tickets for the Toronto premiere of The Lord of the Rings will be available for purchase online from 15th May and by telephone from 16th May. The first performance is scheduled for 2nd February 2006. There are further details at the official website. The London premiere is now scheduled for Autumn 2006.

    Scoop report on some innovative sound editing software that has been developed by New Zealand company Virtual Katy. The basic version of this software was originally developed to deal with the huge job of sound editing the LotR movies.

  • A Room with a View

    Broadcast earlier today, the BBC Radio 4 programme “Room with a View” features the Oxford study where JRR Tolkien wrote The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. For a period of a week you can hear the programme on the Listen Again feature at BBC Radio 4.
