The Hobbit – a film in two parts
Stuff.co.nz report that Peter Jackson has confirmed that The Hobbit “…will be one continuous movie in two parts and not two self-contained films.” The original plans for The Hobbit movies were for the first movie to be based on The Hobbit with the second movie providing a link to the Lord of the Rings.

The Hunt for Gollum – premiere
BBC.co.uk reports on The Hunt for Gollum, a 40 minute independent film which is set between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The film has its premiere on 3rd May and on the same day you can watch the film via the internet at the official site here.
