The man behind Lord of the Rings
On November 2, Arizona State University will hold their 2002 Fall Symposium based on JRR Tolkien: The Man Behind The Lord of the Rings. This event features presentations by Tom Shippey, Randel Helms and Ron Newcomer, who will discuss Tolkien’s poetry, and “the challenges of turning Tolkien’s prose into the visual language of film.”
