The Two Towers has been voted the Film of the Year in a BBC poll. Fellowship of the Ring won the title last year. The Two Towers beat other block buster films like Kill Bill, Pirates of the Carribean, and Finding Nemo to take the top spot! You can read the full story at BBCi.

Today, 3rd January, is the birthday of J.R.R. Tolkien. He was born 112 years ago on 3rd January 1892. The Tolkien Society is suggesting Tolkien fans celebrate with a toast to “The Professor”.
