You know, if you put it all together, All 9 of the Fellowship were heroes. But, when you put it to the very end, it come down to that, Sam, was the real heroe of the story.
Okay, well, judging by movie standards….Aragorn is the better hero, but Legolas is hotter (okay…most of the time LOL. Aragorn can get pretty fine)
Now, from book standards…they all are. Every single charachter in the book is the hero. Without any of them, they wouldn’t have succeeded.
Think about it! Without Glorfindel, Frodo would never have made it to Rivendell. Whithout Treebeard, Pippin and Merry would have been eaten by that orc. The list goes on for a while!
OF COURSE TOLKEIN’S A GENIUS! hee hee… ya i agree w/hobbitmom… sam’s the real hero. he even was tempted by the ring but his love for Frodo helped him resist! (platonic brotherly love that is) =)
Legolas… *rolls eyes* You mean the blonde kid with the bow? Tolkien says that Legolas accomplished the least of the Fellowship! Just because Orlando Bloom is hot…
While I do love Legolas I’ve also got to agree with everyone else. Other than being a strong friend to Aragorn, he wasn’t much of a hero. I don’t think that’s his fault, though! He was jsut kinda along for the ride, ya know? he was leaving middle earth anyway. But Aragorn was an awesome choice!

I agree. Legolas was not a great movie hero, though I think Aragorn is. Orlando has very stong fan base….:)
