1. So, you have been chosen by the wizards to answer their own particular brand of questions this month. Does this make you proud? Why do you think the wizards have chosen you?
It makes me immensely proud! After all, these are highly respectable wizards. I suspect that they have chosen me because, although wizards know much, they do not know all. Such as… how a cat such as myself might answer questions such as these.
2. Let’s start with something easy. A simple choice. Which do you prefer and why?
– Middle-earth or our world?
Middle-earth. Less traffic.
– A steward’s son or a son as steward?
Son as steward. Faramir would make a lovely steward! Erm, I mean, he would be a very just and proper steward. Yeah.
– Arwen as hope or Arwen as reward?
Arwen as hope. Women are *not* rewards. Hmph.
– The addition of chocolate into Middle-earth or the addition of lembas into our world?
Oooooh, toughie. Lembas into our world. If it could do for me what it did for Frodo and Sam, I’d be willing to even give up chocolate myself. And that’s saying a lot.
– Which pairing do you prefer: Arwen/Aragorn; Éowyn/Aragorn; Éowyn/Arwen, Aragorn/Boromir or Boromir/Figwit?
Well, since Gondor needs a resurgence of Elvish blood, I guess I’ll go with Arwen/Aragorn.
3. You wake up with a gentle wind on your face and birds singing in the trees. The sun is rising over a nearby wood. Where are you?
In my original hometown. Purrr. (Or is it Myst island? Again, purrr.)
4. You wake up with something seemingly like a tornado whirling around you. No birds are singing, in trees or otherwise. The sun is in the sky, but often hidden by flying debris, trees, cows etc. Where are you?
Flying cows? Hmm, must be that Twister movie.
5. Which would you rather do and why? File Gríma’s toenails, brush Lurtz’s teeth or wash Gollum’s loincloth?
Wash Gollum’s loincloth. *ahem* Cats are curious, you know.
6. How well do you think you would do if you were dropped suddenly into Minas Tirith? Or Edoras? Or Barad-dûr?
Minas Tirith – Well, it’s a bit crowded, but I hear there are nice, plush places for kitties in the upper levels of the city. Edoras – Meduseld is nice, but there are far too many large four-legged animals stamping about. Still, I think a cat could be happy there. Barad-dûr – Ugh! Are you mad? That place is not fit for a feline.
7. Do Siamese cats truly come from Mordor?
Hmph. I refuse to even acknowledge that question.
8. What 5 things would you take to Middle-earth with you and why?
1) Map of Middle-earth – so I wouldn’t get lost (hopefully).
2) Feather pillow – Cats like to sleep comfortably, thank you.
3) A watch – I go mad if I can’t find out what time it is!
4) Catnip. For tea. Really.
5) My human servant to carry all this stuff around for me. (You know, the one that does my typing for me here.)
9. Which is your favourite season, and where in Middle-earth would you like to spend it?
Winter! Maybe in Rivendell. I don’t know why, but it just seems like it might be beautiful in winter.
10. Give us 5 words that explain your love of Tolkien and his works.
Creative. Detailed. Unmatched. Legendary. Phenomenal.
11. Which characters would you be in the following books: Winnie the Pooh, Lost, Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter?
Tigger. Kate. Lucy. ??? – I have no clue.
12. And on to our favourite website … Which forums have you never posted in on CoE? Which forum do you post in most?
Never… RPG. Most… Realm of Nienna forums. By far.
13. Which completely unnecessary section does CoE really need?
Realms! They’re unnecessary in the Tolkien-book-movie-research sense, but they’re the best way to get to know other fans. Even if they’re not feline. I’ve met some wonderful people in Nienna. I absolutely love my Realm.
And that’s that! Thank you for your time and your thoughts!
My pleasure! I have two quick questions for the Wizards.
1) Mrow, mow miao?
2) Where’s Trent?
Editor’s Note: This is the type of question that the Wizards are most eager to answer. Well, at least one of them. So here is Trent.
One response to “CoE Admin of the Month: an interview with Frodos_Cat”
