Vardian’s Creed

In the midst of nowhere,
I saw nothing but confusion.
I heard thousands of voices
Calling my name.
Yet as I listened,
And through the din,
I heard a voice…
The sweet voice of Varda,
Calling me out of the crowd,
Calling me to follow the Light of Ilúvatar.

I wandered by chance,
And I felt the advent of happiness
As the soft light of stars
Grew brighter and clearer,
Shining light
On all the beauty in the world.
Then I appeared with a glistening light,
Wondering about the beings I will meet.
And with the joy of a child,
I knew I had found a home.

I am not anymore
A star without sky.
I hear soft voices
Of those around me singing.
Their song spreads the light
Of laughter, love, and friendship…
A welcoming sound, gentle and sweet,
Like stars on a cloudless night.
And a soft blanket of love
Is now there to catch me when I fall.

I contemplated with the stars,
They had shown me true friendship,
They embraced me, shared all their light,
Gave me a place in their constellation.
Once I wandered,
Now I found a new home.
The holy light of Varda
Is kindled in my heart.
It shall shine forever…
Until the end of time.
