  1. I saw this when it was on tv a few days ago. It was really quite interesting to find out about Tolkien’s life. The only thing was, the announcer pronounced a lot of different words wrong, and the man selling a copy of the presentation (for $80! I couldn’t believe it!) said something like, “I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I’ve read it so many times.” and then he said, “If you liked the movies, you should get this. I know I liked the one that just came out-The Dark Tower.” It was terrible. He called it the Dark Tower right after he said he was a big Tolkien fanatic!

  2. In the Northern California Bay Area, San Jose Station KTEH 54 (Cable 10) will be airing this at Midnight Wednesday March 12 through 2:00 AM Thursday March 13th. 😉

  3. What is PBS? is this some american TV channel? If it is could some1 please tell me if there are any plans to air it in the UK in the near future?

  4. PBS – Public Broadcasting Service – PBS, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, is a private, non-profit media enterprise owned and operated by the nation’s 349 public television stations. A trusted community resource, PBS uses the power of noncommercial television, the Internet and other media to enrich the lives of all Americans through quality programs and education services that inform, inspire and delight. Available to 99 percent of American homes with televisions and to an increasing number of digital multimedia households, PBS serves nearly 100 million people each week.

The site, http://www.pbs.org, has a list of their stations around the U.S. and searching them you might find a listing for the show.

In an internet search (typing in the title of the show), I found Amazon.com selling this 80 minute documentary on DVD although it does say it may not be viewable in countries outside of the U.S. and Canada (sorry…) and that they might have run out of stock (even sorrier…). 🙁 Go to http://www.amazon.com for more information.

You might try searching the internet further.

I hope some of this helps at least some of you. 😉
