Bummer. I am a mere two and a half inches too short. (the required height is 5′ 9″ or taller). I am also a little too young, but everyone always thinks I’m older by, like, two years so I’m sure I could get away with that.
If only I could find a way to get to New Zealand…
Have they had a casting call for hobbits yet? I might be able to fit those height qualifications better. Or I might be too tall and stuck in the middle. What about a casting call for women (and men of course but I couldn’t pass for a man) of Lake Town/Dale?
… and imagine the frustration of those of us who actually look elvish enough, but live on the other side of the Earth 😉 Wish they had casting in Europe as well, lol 😉
I am seriously considering finding myself a rack. Yes, as in the medieval torture device. I wouldn’t kill myself with it, just stretch myself out a bit. (A bit= 2 inches)
My mom is almost as sad as I am about the height. She said I looked elvish enough to her. (Thanks, mom, but you’re no casting director.)
Anyway everyone, if I discover any miraculous way to make yourself grow, I’ll tell you.
Also, to all of you who do not live anywhere near New Zealand (like me), if you go to the link and click on the words “looking for people” it will take you to the site of the official casting call. There you can apply online! (It does say not to apply if you do not meet the height requirements. In bold letters.)

I’m waaay too short. 🙁 Oh well, I’m sure they could invent a Mary-Sue for me to play. 😛
I’m probably tall enough, but not old enough. Wish I could be there.
I’m fit height and fit age, but on opposite side of the globe. :/
