As much as it stinks him not being a dwarf again, I understand where he’s coming from. I’ve seen the behind the scenes about how much it irritated his skin and I definitely wouldn’t want to go through that again either.
To bad he won’t be a Dwarf. He made a darn good one. But having practically memorized the EE Appendices, I can understand why he doesn’t want to. I wouldn’t want to go through that makeup torture again and I certainly don’t want him to! Oh, well…. Maybe he can be Beorn. He seems to fit the character and he wouldn’t have to wear the makeup again!

Also, although he played the part of Gimli brilliantly, I wouldn’t want him back as a different dwarf in the Hobbit, as I would only be able to see him as Gimli
It’s a pity he won’t be returning, and yet you can’t help but feel sorry for him with what happeped last time. I cringe everytime I think about what the Prosthetics did to his face. Wouldn’t you think that there would be a special kind for Allergic people? I mean you’re bound to come across someone else who has allergies to that stuff…

I can actually say I understand him perfectly!
I definitely don’t blame him. (: Hahah, I wouldn’t want to, either. But I have to say he does make a fantastic dwarf.
