Director and producer Kate Madison has put together a cast of professional actors, and a fantastic group of production talent, to capture the feel of the visual Tolkien universe Peter Jackson established in his trilogy. Made for a fraction of Jackson’s budget, probably about the same amount he spent on breakfast cereal, Born of Hope not only looks the part, but the original script genuinely brings a new dimension to The Lord of the Rings.
Uniquely all the talent that worked on the film did so for no financial gain, and the budget was made up of private donations through the film’s web site. The internet has been a major player in the making of the film as creative people from USA, Canada, Australia, Germany and New Zealand amongst others have been able to contribute to the script, costumes, props and music.
It is therefore fitting that the film can be seen from the 1st of December exclusively on the film’s website (www.bornofhope.com) or DailyMotion.com.

Finally! I already visited the website and I like it! The movie/story sounds great!
Congratulations to everyone involved!
PS: I love the fact that finally Elladan and Elrohir were brought to life! They were some of the absent characters from Lord of the Rings.
Sweet! Ive been waiting over a year for this, I can’t wait for the 1st to come now.

AT LAST!!!! I’ve been following the film’s progress on the site for about a year now, and I’m so glad that they’re done filming! It looks very well done from the trailers and pics I’ve seen. Can’t wait for December 1st!!!
Wow–I’ve been hearing about this for some time but I didn’t realise that Elladan and Elrohir were going to be in it O_O Eek! Hooray! Can’t wait:)

Although it’s been said already, BoH was well worth the wait. I have to admit that I’ve seen it twice now :D. It was everything that I had hoped for, and the music simply blew my mind. Thank you to all of those hard workers who put this together!
I have finally seen Born of Hope! It was magnificent and everything I could hope for! Thank you everyone who made this fan movie possible!
I have just viewed this entire film. The Born of Hope team did an excellent job with all things.
I found the casting the film exceptional. I kept watching Arathorn as he fought and found his moments to be very “Aragorn-like”.
It was very easy to imagine Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) as the son of Arathorn (Christopher Dane).
Parts of Dane’s fighting style were similar to Viggo’s and so were some of the inflections in his speech. Arathorn’s call to arms of the Dunedain reminded me of Aragorn’s charge to the Men of the West at the Black Gates.
I also thought the leather coat was a nice wardrobe tie in as well.
