Bring them all back! Even if it’s just for a brief moment. They could do flash forwards, and Legolas could just be standing beside Thranduil at some point. I want them all together again. It would make my year!
Why does this keep happening. Look Merry, Pippin, Frodo, Samn, Arwen, Galadriel, Legolas, Aragorn these are all characters who are NOT in The Hobbit and there for should be left out of it. I don’t get how book fans can be ‘okay’ with the idea of The Hobbit being turned into this big reunion. I understand they will be doing The Hobbit and and history leading up to thing.. well that’s alright as long as they distinct the difference. But the hobbits from the Lord of the Rings save Bilbo have NO place in The Hobbit.
For once, could they please make the films as book-verse as possible? I mean they can tweak it! I think we’re alright with a little bit of tweaking here and there, but I agree with some of you, they can’t have a reunion, and yes, I love the idea of the flash forwards. Very LOST-ish!

I mean, i wouldnt mind them coming back and doing random hobbits for fun, but Merry? Pip? etc? i dont think so.

I know that the 4 hobbits are not in “The Hobbit” but I wouldn’t mind seeing them even for a few seconds in a “flash-forward” scene

What? How?!?! The Hobbit happens in T.A 2941. Merry is born in 2982! So somehow, magically Merry is going to be around 41 years before he’s born?!
The more I heard the more I despair. I thought Arwen at Helm’s Deep was bad enough but this really takes the biscuit.
