Haven’t the Tolkien Estate got anything better to do? Perhaps the people named the restaurant after the extinct human species popularly known as hobbits instead *grin* Or is that name the next to be disallowed?
Ugh. It’s just a word. A word Tolkien coined. Shakespeare coined hundreds of words, but no one has chastised me for saying, “Olympian” or “lonely”. Is that next? Seriously, leave them alone.
That is pathetic, if they keep carrying on like this we will be banned from using LOTR names in OUR names. When will this end??? when we all fear to even talk about LOTR.

Ridiculous! Leave the name be! Sheesh…don’t they have anything better to do than pick on a restaurant?

That’s the most stupidest thing I’ve heard. Why are they picking on a lil’ ol restarurant!? They must be really bored…
I have seen a very beautiful housing development called The Shire. Let’s hope “the attorneys” never find it.
There’s also a pub called “The Hobbit” in Southampton England, if they need another scapegoat.
That’s rediculous! So it has Hobbit in the name!! They really need to chill. They need to get a hobby… like a rubix cube!
