Oooh! Two films? Wow, I hope so! But I wish they would get started already, it will probably take years to finish…and will they be able to get enough of the same actors to make it fit with the LOTR movies? I think Ian McKellen for Gandalf is a must, and what about Hugo Weaving for Elrond?
Sounds great but how can they make two movies out of one small book???? If anything Peter Jackson should remake the whole trilogy of LoTR into five movies and I bet he has enough spare footage to do just that!
I think having the same Bilbo will be essential. I hope they don’t make him look really young, like they did with Frodo. For we all know that he should look the same as he did in the beginning of the LOTR movies, since the ring did preserve him from the time he picked up the ring in the Misty Mountains. Thus, his physical appearence would be the same in the Hobbit as it was in the start of LOTR.
Great stuff! But why can they make 2 Hobbit movies, but LOTR was just 3. I mean, LOTR should have been 6 movies. One for every book, but then again, very few people wil indeed enjoy 6 movies. I would love it ofcourse. But I don’t think the world will
Yippee! the hobbit is a must for the world after lotr! good idea to put pj in the director’s chair agin but make sure as many of the lotr actors are kept:eg hugo weaving, ian holm, ian mckellen, the guy that played gloin in the council is a must have! What do you think about jason issacs playing thranduil?(lucius malfoy with green robes, a circlet and nicer personality)
Hpwever are they goinjg to manage two movies? According to the article they’re going to do one of the Hobbit and one of… what? Random stuff that happened between the two? Not very much happened then. I’m not sure I’d be interested in a movie made up mostly of stuff that they made up to fill in space.
That wouldn’t really work out.. one film is really all they need =/ Peter Jackson managed to do one film for each LotR book, and each of those is longer than the Hobbit.
