hmm i hate to put a damper on all the ecstasies pronounced above, and to be honest i’m surprised at my lack of enthusiasm for The Children of Húrin, but i just can’t see what the difference will be between this “new” book and the stories of Húrin, Túrin et al. in the HoME and Silmarillion….
That would be so cool if it was something new. Actually my first thought was “Whoa, Children of Hurin, as in the line of the Stewards?” and was thinking it would be about Faramir. Then I remembered Hurin from the Sil and UT. Oh well, still interesting.

It may be epic, but I am not so sure about the “public’s appetite”. well, the die-hard’s like me will be in line to get a crack at the first copy.
