How did you find CoE?
I often search the web for biographical information on my favourite authors. I found CoE when I looked up Tolkien on Google Search.
What are you favorite areas of the site?
– The CoE Encyclopaedia – very well researched!
– The Fan Fiction section – the standard of writing is very high, except when I contribute to it!
– The Book Discussion Forum – you meet such intelligent people here. And they have a great sense of humour, too!
– The Realm of Vairë – I’ve recently joined this realm and I’m enjoying the company of the weavers!
How often do you visit CoE?
When I’m in town, almost every day. When I’m out of town, I have severe withdrawal symptoms!
How many times have you read the books?
The first time I read them I was in school, and I read them again when the movies came out.
Who is your favorite LotR character?
The elves. Definitely the elves – I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said that I spend a lot of time and effort trying to be elvish. (And not succeeding very well).
Do you have a favorite scene from the Trilogy?
The scene in which the beacons of Gondor are lit – the photography is beautiful there. And, of course, all scenes with Haldir in them! (My least favourite scene is the one in which Denethor displays his fine table manners!)
What character left out of the films do you miss most?
I miss Gildor Inglorion and Glorfindel. Gildor Inglorion especially encapsulates for me the essence of elvishness.
Do you know any Sindarin or Quenya?
Very little, but I hope to learn some soon.
What did you enjoy most about the ROTK EE?
Actually, I haven’t seen it! (blush!)
