How did you find CoE?
A friend showed me Haldir’s Pretty Pictures at school once. After laughing my head off during maths and English, I decided to join.
What are your duties here at CoE?
I’m leader and welcomer of the Realm of Varda, and I really enjoy both.
What are your favourite areas of the site?
Do I have to choose? I love them all, but the Forum is probably my favourite. I spend most of my time in the Realm of Varda and the Games Forum.
How often do you visit CoE?
Every single day, unless my teachers come up with some evil plot to kill me with homework.
How many times have you read the books?
I’ve read the Hobbit twice, the LotR four or five times, and the Silmarillion twice. I’ve also read the Unfinished Tales, and I’m going to read HoME soon.
Who is your favourite LOTR character?
Probably Faramir, but I also like Pippin, Galadriel and Gildor.
Do you have a favourite scene from the trilogy?
In the movies, I think my favourite would be the charge of the Rohirrim at the Pelennor Fields, or Bilbo’s party. In the books, I’d say Chapter 3, Three is Company. The first time I read it everything was new, just like it was for the Hobbits. And they were still alone, no Aragorn or Gandalf to help them. It was all so dangerous and beautiful at the same time.
What character left out of the films do you miss most?
Gildor. He is one of my favourite characters (and he’s in my favourite chapter!), and I was very disappointed when he wasn’t in the FotR movie.
Do you know any Sindarin or Quenya?
I know a little Quenya. I started learning it last year, but I stopped at lesson 10 or so, and haven’t practised for ages.
What did you enjoy most about the ROTK EE?
Oh, that’s a difficult one! I was glad the Frodo and Sam’s journey in Mordor was longer, and that Saruman was included. The Crossroads and Houses of Healing were also great.
