Ah yes, I heard about this months ago on Phil Vischer’s website (www.philvischer.com). He provides a picture that he drew to give us a little “hint” of what VeggieTales movie he was planning to make next. Sure enough, I knew right away that it was gonna be a “Lord of the Rings” spoof!! And being a big fan of VeggieTales/Big Idea Productions, I’m sure I’ll love it!! 🙂
the first thing I said was oh dear God. first a musical and now veggitales. i’m sorry but it is a shock to me. it kind of freaks me out but at least the older kids wil get into it maybe. i would!
this ought to be funny. Veggie Tales is okay, but I don’t like the way they portray some biblical stories completely out of wack. I mean, a fish slapping thingy??? Come on! That isn’t in the Bible! And at Jericho, it wasn’t a bunch of peas pouring slushy down on the Israelites… it was a conquest of the land!!!
I’ve got to agree: First Barbies, then a musical, now veggietales, what next? I’m beginning to fear for the future of this beloved tale. But no, seriously, are they planning on doing a triliogy? This is just too far.
Okay, okay, it’l probably be hilarious, if they can do it right. I’d bet the little grapes are gonna be hobbits!
Hehe… I expect it’ll be a sort of cute. I might go see it… I like veggi tales, even though I’m older than most of the V.T. fans. The shows are just so adorable, I think. So I really want to see how they do this.
I’ll buy it!!
i agree that veggie Tales do add things in thier movies that aren’t in the Bible, but they do it so little kids could understand it.
for instance, the fish slapping thing. little kids wouldn;t understand that the street where full of prostitutes ect.
i agree with Lela333, they make the stories understandable for little kids, and they do a good job of i too. im so gonna go see this movie! veggie tales are awesome and it should be interesting to see them acting out one of the greatest movies of all time!
Hee hee I wanna see this. I have been watching Veggie Tales for as long as I can remember, and I am shocked at how much Big Idea has done. I think it will be cute and I will most likely watch it.
OMGOSH YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, mi favorita, Larry, is Frodo!!!! …Although, that really doesn’t make sense. He’s not short like a hobbit. It looks like Jimmy is Sam, Jerry is Legolas, Pa Grape is Gimli, Mr. Nezzer is Gandalf, and some unidentified cucumber is Aragorn. COOL BEANS!!!!!!!!!… Omg. Sorry, no pun intended. Anyways. This sounds sooo cool!
