How did you find CoE?
I was searching the net for Tolkien parodies, and I found the fanfiction section of the site. A while passed before I registered to submit my parody, and I was never really active anywhere until the Realms started up. I joined Aulë on day one and there I’ve been ever since.
What are your duties here at CoE?
I’m a realm leader in the Realm of Aulë. Rock on!
What are your favourite areas of the site?
I really enjoy the humor section, especially Crazy Captions and the Karaoke Bar.
How often do you visit CoE?
Every day. Sometimes…even (dare I say it?) twice a day.
How many times have you read the books?
Since early ’99, I’ve read LotR eight times, the Sil three times, Unfinished Tales 1 & 2 once, and The Hobbit countless times since ’93. I’m currently taking a short break from reading them again so that I can separate the movie characters from my ideas of the book characters, and also so that the story will be fresher when I come back.
Who is your favourite LOTR character?
Oh gosh…so many to choose from…I’d have to say Samwise.
Do you have a favourite scene from the trilogy?
“The Choices of Master Samwise” is my absolute favorite chapter. The power of words can never be surpassed. In the movies, I suppose my favorite scene would be Éowyn singing at Théodred’s funeral.
What character left out of the films do you miss most?
I miss them all, especially Frodo and Aragorn ;P But seriously, of the characters PJ didn’t put in, I miss Beregond the most. His tragic loyalty to Faramir is necessary to show King Elessar’s mercy in his judgement of the man.
Do you know any Sindarin or Quenya?
Just the usual “Suilad” and “Namárië”.
What did you enjoy most about the ROTK EE?
The Mouth of Sauron. Über-awesome. Plus the fact that Gothmog the Stay-puft Marshmallow Orc was finally taken out…
