How did you find CoE?
I did a Google search on LOTR and it was one of many sites that popped up. I pretty much checked most of them out but kept coming back to CoE. It was friendly and easy to move around in so I signed up and have been here ever since.
What are your duties here at CoE?
I am one of the mods in the Palantír and I am also the Realm Head of Ulmo.
What are your favourite areas of the site?
Well, Ulmo’s Realm is one. I’ve been part of that since the creation of the realms and have made a great deal of wonderful friends there. We have a lot of activities and I participate in most of them. The Palantír is another. I used to go in there once in a while but after becoming a mod for it I had to spend more time there and found it was quite fun. It’s interesting to read other members’ thoughts and ideas on today’s movies and music. I’m in the Roleplaying forum often. I have a Tolkien-related RPG there called “The Green Dragon” that friends and I enjoy. And yes, that was a shameless plug for it. If anyone cares to join us, they are welcome. I also love the gallery. One can never have enough LOTR pictures or of Éomer.
How often do you visit CoE?
I’m here at least once or twice a day. It’s part of my everyday routine. I’ll be the first to say I’m addicted to CoE but it’s a great habit.
How many times have you read the books?
I’ve been reading them since I was in elementary school so it’s been quite a few years. I like reading all three of them together but ROTK is my favorite and I’ve probably read that the most though.
Who is your favourite LOTR character?
Hmmmm, that shouldn’t be too hard of a guess for most that know me. Éomer has always been my favorite. In FOTR Legolas got my vote but the minute I came across Éomer in the book I was hooked.
Do you have a favourite scene from the trilogy?
Sure, I have lots but I think one of my absolute favorites is when Narsil is reforged. That sword represents hope and that haunted look on Lord Elrond’s face as he watches is perfect. I still get chillbumps whenever I see it.
What character left out of the films do you miss most?
I would have liked to have seen the twins, Elladan and Elrohir
Do you know any Sindarin or Quenya?
Speak it, no. I like to use the Tolkien language dictionaries on CoE to look up different words. I like Sindarin enough that I had my name translated into it and have it tattooed on my wrist.
What are you looking forward most to in ROTK EE?
I wish there was going to be more of Éomer in it but will happily settle for the Houses of Healing. That was one of my favorite parts in the book. Faramir is such a wonderful character and seeing him happy will be worth the wait.
