Sing hey! for the smilie at close of day
That washes the boring post away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Smilie’s Face is a noble thing!
O! Avvies cold we may use at need
to cheer a post and be glad indeed;
but better is a smilie, if cheer we lack,
and Blue Disco Guys when mood is black.
O! Siggies are fair that glitter bright
in a nice post before our eyes;
but never did a siggy look so sweet
as bouncing smilies that we meet!

Smilie Dictionary Poem
First of all I must say,
that this is a very happy day
for here I am to proclaim
My love for the smilies I cannot refrain.
is for the love I share,
in loving my fellow realmers fair
is for various thingies
like loving my “therapy”!! (Chocolate)
is for the naughty things I do
like teasing you about your shoe
is used for all types of things
like boys, ice-cream and of course the One Ring
this smilie speaks for itself
whether you use it towards others or yourself
is one of my favs.
for you can dance and your friends can rave!
is a helpful one
asking everyone if they have an opinion
is always so helpful
this will cheer you up if you have a downfall
is very handy
for when your comp. seems as if it has drunk brandy
This sums up my smilie poem
except for one I forgot to show them
is one above them all
as you can watch someone else bang it’s head against the wall.

Where now the face of the smilie?
Where is the mouth that was laughing?
They have passed like posts on forums, like mails in the Outbox;
The smilies have gone down to servers, behind screens into shadow.
Who shall gather the paths of the dead files burning,
Or behold the flowing bytes from the Net returning?

A Smile A Day Keeps the Sorrow Away
I wake up to a bird’s chirping sound
And can you guess who I see?
The sun is shining, shining down
And smiling upon me
As white rays of piercing light
Gently fall through dappled shadows
Like a beacon of hope, strong and bright
Smiles and laughs to see a half-opened rose
To smile at nature and marvel
At its beauty and state of purity
To find inexpressible joy in no evil
Is that not what life brings to me?
So smile everyday
For the rest of your life
Because somehow I believe
It is too short to be unhappy
