  1. It is absloutely unbelievable that RotK should win, but not its director! I just don’t get this at all–how could Peter Weir have been considered even in the same league, let alone superior to, Peter Jackson? This is just plain wrong.

    Just goes to show you never can tell how these things will go.

I watched the BAFTAs last night, and I think ‘Return didn’t get nearly enough – especially when Sir Ian didn’t get his award, and also Howard Shore loosing his to Cold Mountain was not good at all … poor guy! Still – Best Film is a major achievement, and, if you like, you can think of all of the awards that were not won as being included in Best Film.

  3. RotK should have won ALL the awards, including the ones that it didn’t even get nominated for!!!!

    I’m glad it at least won best film, voted by judges AND viewers, it’s double win you might say!

    Bring on the oscars!
