I usely don’t react to what will or will not be showing in the theater for the LotR movies, but this one is alittle to much. I think it’s a bad mistake to not have Saruman’s role seen in, “Return of the King.” Everyone knows Saruman is very evil, even those that haven’t read the books, and want to see him destroyed. I am glad to hear that that scene will be in the EE DVD. It will be very interesting to read the responds that will be written after this.
Boromir / Denethor flashbacks are hardly the same as taking out one of the main plotlines of the second and third book and stuffing it on the DVD. Sheesh, I was upset about the Dúnedain, but this just really… I am very very disappointed in Peter Jackson.

why couldn’t they just film a 40 sec shot of Saruman running away from Orthanc, looking back with a scowl, then continues running?
it’ll be unsettling for people who haven’t read the books to know what happens to Saruman.
