They missed one the most obvious ones I think, when the Rohirrim are attcking that band of Uruk-hai and the horse is about to land on Pippin his hands are untied, then he rolls over and they are tied again.
BTW, Rosie Gamgee, you said you thought that sometimes they switched the fake blood on Dom’s forehead. They didn’t switch his make up, they flipped the camera. Sometimes they reverse a take because it looks like a better angle, if that made any sense at all. That’s why in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, you notice Padme’s mole switching sides
Ya, I agree, they left out most of the good ones. And then they asked a pretty silly one that when Saruman is talking to Sauron his lips weren’t moving. Duh. Of course it is telepathically, even my non-comprehending-LotR family realized that.
The biggest blunder that bugs me the most is with Shadowfax. In the book it clearly states that he would accept neither saddle nor bridle, but when we first see him come running up, the marks of a breast collar are very obvious on his chest. So clearly he’s been used for other scenes in the movie. I guess people who aren’t “horse-people” wouldn’t notice that. I wish PJ would have, it kind of ruins Shadowfax for me!
I heard, though I did not see for myself (perhaps because i have the DVD version), that when Theoden and Aragorn ride out of Helms Deep the footses of their horsies go through the bodies of the orcs.

They did miss a lot that I’ve noticed over and over. But all the same, gotta love PJs reactions to them.
