  1. ben franklin?!? cmon! some of the things may seem like parallels, but tolkien did not try to use symbolism or representation, though jackson tries to show some in the movies, for example, in Fellowship, it is very clear that when saruman orders the trees to be cut down and burned, the human race is implyed, through “their roots grow deep” and other lines. sometimes we see can see connections that the author did not mean, there are many times when one is reading and can draw a parallel to a recent occurance, even though the book was written before that event. but its LotR, so i gotta get it….

  2. No way. Besides, Anonymous is right.
I’m not getting it. I do believe ME exists but not in the way THEY think. I still think its out there somewhere.
