Lord of the Rings: Motion Picture Trilogy Exhibition

You may have noticed at the official site an obscure event listing for a museum tour of LOTR props and costumes at the Te Papa museum in New Zealand. This exhibit ran through March of 2003. I, in my LOTR travels around the Internet found a press release, which showed that the exhibit would be opening at London’s Science Museum September 16th, 2003 through January 11, 2004. An e-mail to the Te Papa Museum gave additional tentative dates, which include: The Singapore Science Museum for March to June 2004, The Boston Museum of Science for August to October 2004 and the Sidney, Australia Powerhouse Museum in 2005.

This Council of Elrond member was dismayed that there was only one USA date! This exhibition is being controlled by New Line Cinema. As that thousands of props and costumes were made for the film, perhaps we can convince (bribe?!) New Line to do additional shows world wide so that we can all get a chance to see the movie magic.
