The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, in partnership with New Line Cinema, has been exhibiting the real jewllery, props, armour and weapons used in the making of The Lord of the Rings Trilogies. They also have some of the actual costumes, such as Galadriel’s dress and Sauron’s armour displayed in FOTR, (the very beginning of it.)
They also have different learning experiences, like how the special effects were created and how Gollum was made in great computer animation. They’ll show you how they made different battle scenes too.
The Exhibition is still only in Te Papa right now, but after March 30, (it’s ending in New Zealand), it will go international, bringing its awesome exhibit to the world.
