Thats very interesting, but I wonder if they would also change or write their own wedding vows to match those of ME. Anyone here know of someone who has ???
Wow! That sounds so great! I’m not planning to get married, but it would be SO awsome to have a LotR themed wedding! I was talking about it with a few of my friends and we had to snubb one into promising to come as Gimli . . . it would be so interesting! I prefer to think of it as an alternative to a civil rather than a religious ceremony. No vows to worry about! *grins*
I don’t know, Marriage is supposed to be a spiritual cerimony, the meeting of two souls. It seems to me questionable to put any sort of theme to it. Does that not take away from what the focus is supposed to be? Two Humans promising themselves to each other eternaly?
To me marriage is not a ceremony, you do that with the justic of the peace or in your church, whatever, for your family, and the state. Two entities that really have no bussiness having any say in a marriage. My Husband and I were married long before the ceremony. We were married from the moment we fell to our knees and promised our hearts souls and minds to each other. The ceremony was to appease our relations and make it legal for the tax credit.

Good day to you all,

Just my meager and humble opinion,
Good day and be well,
