  1. Thanks so much for posting that. So with Sean Astin’s daughter in there, we will certainly see the “proper” last scene where Sam comes in and says “Well, Im back.” I’ll be misty I’m sure… and I won’t want it to end…

I’m also excited to see the Lieutenant of the Tower of Barad-dur…the nameless Mouth of Sauron…a Black Numenorean more cruel than any orc. For some reason I just got a perfect vision of this character from the text and can’t wait to see what they do with it.

Cirdan the shipwright is also a huge part of Middle-Earth, even if he only has a brief appearance at the end of the LotR, and I hope they also include him! He’s the one that gave Gandalf Narya for goodness sake… I better simmer down, since I’ll have to wait till Dec. to find out, LOL!!

  2. Hopefully, we can take for granted that since they left Hugo Weaving out, they overlooked Cirdan as well.

That last sentence in the book always makes me cry (although I usually start when Frodo is talking about all the kids Sam and Rosie will have), and I was quite glad to see that, since we have an Elanor, we are going to get that scene. (The choice for casting is cute, and wholly appropriate.)

AND!!!!! Pippin and Merry are second and third! Scour that Shire! I am so excited!
