The next Lord of the Rings installment, The Two Towers, is set to have its world premiere in Paris, France in December, ahead of its world release on December 19.
Wellington-based director Peter Jackson is in London – where the first film, The Fellowship of the Ring, debuted – supervising the recording of the film’s musical score with composer Howard Shore.
Special effects supervisor Richard Taylor (who led the team which won two of the four Oscars won by The Fellowship of the Ring) said on the Gold Coast that post-production on the new film would continue until October.
Australian actors Devid Wenham, as Boromir’s brother Faramir, and Miranda Otto emerge prominently in the talent pool of the new movie.
