This position’s responsibilities entail the following:
1) Cleaning up of gallery comments on a continual basis. There are many, many comments in the gallery that are inappropriate, duplicates, or blank that need to be deleted. The gallery contains over 1500 images, almost all of which have some comments, so this part of the job would be huge.
2) Validate new images as they are submitted by members.
3) Constantly seek out new images to add to the gallery.
4) General clean up of the gallery, such as removing duplicate pics, moving around images to the correct gallery, etc.
Those desiring to apply for this position must meet the following requirements:
1) Must be very, very familiar with our gallery, and viewed all of the pictures at least once. This is very necessary to prevent validation of duplicate pictures.
2) Must have a goodly amount of time to devote to this position. Many people want to be admins without realizing the amount of time that it requires. Please don’t apply if you don’t have time to devote to doing this.
3) Must be very aware of our site rules regarding appropriate submissions, comments, etc, and be willing to uphold these rules.
4) MUST have a decent graphics program, such as Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or something equivilent. This is an absolute requirement, so don’t bother applying if you don’t have a good graphics program…and it would be good if you actually knew how to use it 😉 Desired: someone who has Macromedia Fireworks as well.
As a basic admin, you would also have capabilities to add news and help moderate the forum.
